Sole Train: Boston Runs Together, a program of Trinity Boston Foundation, is a community building and mentoring program that deconstructs impossible by using running as a vehicle for setting and achieving previously unimaginable goals. As a supportive community of caring adults and peers, Sole Train champions young people as they realize their capacity for greatness.
TWO opportunities to connect with Sole Train:
- Run with Sole Train! Commit to 1-2 hrs/wk of weekday practice time and 5 weekend races/community building events, throughout the upcoming 2016-2017 school year.
Sole Train’s adult runners are affectionately called Old Soles, but they’re young in spirit and consistently meet our youth every step of the way. Old Soles are enthusiastic, dedicated, and committed to being part of a community that learns, supports, and grows together. You don’t have to like running to love Sole Train! Our Old Soles embody the Sole Train commitment of creating an inclusive community that reflects the diversity of our participants. Volunteer with Sole Train!
- Volunteer and/or participate in the Sole Train 5k!
Come on out and join Sole Train at Jamaica Pond on Saturday, October 15th at 9:30AM to lead and cheer on runners of all ages, shoe sizes, and speeds in what may be the most spirited 5K around. Come out for a great energy-packed fall morning in one of the area’s premier parks. And know that your participation helps support Sole Train youth to (de)construct (im)possible.
Registration is live! http://www.soletrain5k.com/
I hope that you will consider volunteering and help spread the word about these amazing opportunities to your co-workers, friends and other Boston networks. If you have any further questions please feel free to contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org
