The corporations are stamping a Black Lives Matter image on their media panels. Home owners in upscale Milton, MA are flying Black Live Matter flags in their yards. These gestures are important when they sensitize corporate employees who need to be woke up. The flying of the flag and the placement of Black Lives Matter signs in storefront windows – a phenomenon found in downtown Portland, Maine, but not Roxbury. The Black Lives Matter flags flying in the yard of middle-class Milton homes near the Mattapan town line is a good thing. What more shall they do?

WELL SOME BILLIONAIRES ARE TEACHING US THAT CAPITAL MATTERS, BIG BUNDLES OF IT.

The African American Billionaire Robert F. Smith pledged to pay off student loans for every member of Morehouse College’s graduating class. Morehouse is an all-male (HBCU) Historically Black College in Atlanta, GA. The billionaire’s gift is estimated to be worth about $40 million, based on the combined debt shouldered by the graduating class’s nearly 400 students, making it the single largest individual donation to a historically black college or university.

Up in Chicago, Pete Kadens, a wealthy businessman who has started three companies, told mostly Black and brown high school students “your college tuition, your room and board, your books and fees will be paid for and you will go to college for free.” Every student at the high school and four other Chicago schools would have those things paid for, he said. And because poverty is an intergenerational problem, one parent from each family gets to go to college too.  Reference Link.
