KWANZAA the seven day African American holiday is happening! December 31st Day 6 is KUUMBA and the public is invited. Meets at 7:00 p.m. at the Reggie Lewis Track and Field Center Main Gym located at 1350 Tremont Street in Roxbury. On January 1st, Imani ( theme FAITH ), is the last day of KWANZAA. KWANZAA ceremony will be held at the National Center for Afro-American Artists (NCAAA) on 300 Walnut Avenue in Roxbury. The main attraction, First Night Boston 2020, kicks off at noon on 12/31 in Copley Square.


Programming includes a fireworks display on Boston Common, a skating spectacular on the Frog Pond, dozens of ice sculptures, and a pyrotechnics show in Copley.

Over at the Waterfront area, Boston Harbor Now will host an array of activities, including an ice sculpture stroll at 1pm and their annual fireworks display over Boston Harbor at midnight.
