Dear King Tut Ticket Buyer,

We are writing to update you on the status of KING TUT: Treasures of the Golden Pharaoh and the Boston engagement. IMG, the Producers of the Exhibition want you to know that we are committed to safety of not only our guests, but to that of our production crews and operations teams.

About the tickets

When King Tut Boston was announced, tickets went on sale to groups. AboutBlackBoston.org Getaways entered an order for 10 adult, 4 child tickets. We got a confirmed June 27th 10:30 a.m. entry date for them. Since then, city officials imposed Covid-19 restrictions on public gatherings. It is our opinion that we should not do June 27th now. There is no guarantee the exhibition will be open on June 27th. So we have a few options and here they are:

  1. Option One: Reschedule to Dates from September 12, 2020 through January 3, 2021* without penalty.
  2. Option two:  Keep your current dates and await a final confirmation of new dates. Group leaders will have the first opportunity, prior to individual ticket buyers, to reschedule impacted reservations without penalty. If you elect this option, you will be among the first notified of the new dates so you may adjust your group reservations accordingly.
  3. We are currently accepting new reservations for dates from September 12, 2020 to January 3, 2021*

*Please note that the Exhibition may open earlier or later than September 12, 2020 and may extend beyond January 3, 2021. Information is based on the latest guidance and we will continue to communicate future changes.

The exciting news is that while the opening date is appropriately in flux, IMG has engaged in productive discussions with the venue to shift the exhibition window at The Saunders Castle with revised opening and closing dates and perhaps a longer engagement period than first planned.

As you can appreciate, this is a dynamic situation and we will keep you apprised and informed as soon as we have more information to share from IMG.
