Tufts Health Plan Foundation Invites Applications for Policy and Advocacy
Deadline: July 23, 2021 (Letters of Intent)
The Tufts Health Plan Foundation works to improve the health and wellness of the diverse communities it serves and funds programs that move communities toward implementing age-friendly policies and practices relevant to the most vulnerable and include older people in the process.
The foundation is accepting LOIs for policy and/or systems-level change to advance this mission, leading to age-friendly communities in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Connecticut. Advocacy includes purposeful and intentional activities to educate and inform decision-makers and activities that involve older people as essential stakeholders in policy and systems change. Organizing efforts should recognize seniors as important assets to the community and ensure their voices are elevated and heard. Organizing work should promote policies leading to age-friendly communities.
Proposals should impact healthy aging; be inclusive (i.e., engage older people); increase equity, especially for communities of color; and be collaborative.
LOIs are due July 24. Upon review, selected applicants will be invited to submit a full proposal by October 1, 2021.
To be eligible, applicants must be located in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, or Connecticut.
