Waltham and Worcester have the fastest-growing rents in Massachusetts, up 15.7 percent year over year, according to a Zumper analysis released Wednesday. Fall River slid in next with an 11.2 percent jump, followed by Boston, where the median rent was 10.2 percent higher than it was in November 2017.

The report analyzed active listings in 16 cities that hit the market in November. The median rent for a one-bedroom was $1,893 last month, but Cambridge was the most expensive at $2,510. Boston ranked second ($2,480), and Brookline came in third ($2,400). The least expensive cities were Fall River ($990), Lawrence ($1,160), and Brockton ($1,180).
