Skippy White radio history
Skippy White and WILD AM 1090 radio raised Boston’s profile in the R&B Soul music industry. Together, they lit up the AM radio airwaves with conversation and music everyone can relate to. Boston Magazine voted WILD’s morning show a Best in Boston in 1985. For more than six decades, the impresario presented gospel, R&B, and soul music to Boston’s African American community. He also reached other lovers of Black music. His music stores were Boston landmarks. His vast and comprehensive understanding of music sets him apart from all the rest.
