Around Town

Visit the Omni Parker House Hotel in downtown Boston for a history moment. This photo of Roxbury’s MALCOLM X is part of the Parker House History Gallery. Malcolm Little was 16 when he arrived in Boston. He was a busser at the hotel restaurant.

Malcom X at Parker House Hotel in Boston

He worked at the Parker House as a busser. The Parker House honors Malcolm’s civil rights legacy with a framed photo. Placed around it are photos of the Black workers Malcolm worked with there. Near the Malcolm X display is a photo of President John F. Kennedy proposing to his future wife while dining at Omni Parker House, 60 School St, Boston, MA 02108.
